In late 1983, Mad Max fan Bob Fursenko discovered the Australian built 1973 black XB GT Ford coupe which was the original Mad Max car.
It was sun baking in a wrecking yard in South Australia unmolested after filming Mad Max II. A rough interceptor stunt car was used for the rollover scene, however this car was the original Interceptor from Mad Max I and II.
